UT Austin asked us to create a coloring canvas to celebrate autism & neurodiversity.
The university's Longhorn TIES initiative helps improve the experience undergraduate students who identify as being on the autism spectrum or neurodivergent.
Maria illustrated a giant colouring canvas that celebrates neurodivergence. The artwork focusses on the senses, these are connected through blue dotted lines that represent the brain's neurons. Heads are shown in profile floating in different patterns in a reflection that it's brilliant that there are different ways to interpret the world around us.
The canvas was colored as a part of UT Austin's first annual Neurodiversity Celebration, here's some students contributing their artful insight to the piece!
