We couldn't wait to pop along to Birmingham's second magnificent City of Colours street art festival, with a giant colouring mural for everyone to get involved with.
Fancy Features is located just down the road from Birmingham and it's a city that we've always loved. To celebrate, Maria hand illustrated this giant colouring canvas with famous Birmingham landmarks before we masked the canvas and threw paint around to achieve the drippy pastel sky.
Some of the buildings illustrated include the Custard Factory, the Cadbury factory, The Electric, the Library of Birmingham, and The Cube.

Everyone loves a bit of colouring and the yummy brummies are no exception. We put the same pastel shades that we mixed to paint the drippy sky into artists' paint pens to give the picture a really nice coherent palette.
Here's the rules: pick a pen, any colour you like, colour in a white bit. Here's some demonstrations:
Here's a tweet from the end of the day, the colouring mural had a great response, lots of people loved spotting and naming the local buildings that they recognised before colouring them in.
