Colouring at Fred Perry's summer party

We really enjoyed working with Fred Perry to create a colouring wall that featured elements of their iconic brand, for the staff team to colour at the annual head office summer party.

Fred Perry was a world champion table tennis player who switched to lawn tennis at age 21, going on to become world no.1 and win three consecutive Wimbledon Championships from 1934 to 1936.

The colouring wall design features images from this time showing Fred Perry playing tennis in front of large crowds at the Wimbledon Championships.

In the early 1950's Fred Perry worked with Austrian footballer and inventor Tibby Wegner to make a tennis shirt, released in 1952 it was available in white or black.

Fred's coloured shirts that followed in the late 1950s were originally designed for table tennis players before becoming popular clothing in 1960's mod culture.

We brought mod culture to the canvas by illustrating a couple riding a Lambretta, and a turntable with vinyl records.

We used tennis rackets to frame the historic origins of the Fred Perry clothing brand with images of their iconic clothing and accessories.

After everyone had coloured the mural together, their finished canvas went up on the wall at the Fred Perry London office.
